A personal project built around a simple goal: a wall-mounted iPad stand with a pivoting joint that could be repositioned to any angle and then locked firmly in place.

The mechanism pairs a sleeved threaded rod with a set of interlocking teeth at the pivot point — tightening the rod drives the teeth together, creating a strong, no-slip hold at whatever angle the mount is set to.
