Molotov Key Rack
Dare to Lose Your Keys, No More
A personal project, born from a simple design brief: a key rack needs shapes a key ring can actually slot around. Starting from that functional requirement, the imagery came together on its own — something with an edge to it, with forms that doubled as hooks.
The spark may have come from a postcard for a cocktail party that had landed in the mail around the same time — an image of someone mid-throw with a Molotov cocktail, tagline: "not the kind of cocktail party." Between that and the name, the piece leans fully into a playful, pop-art sensibility: a bottle, a flame, a wink at the idea of a "cocktail" — turned into a functional, wall-mounted object for the one thing everyone loses.
